Flashing lights, loud music, and a room full of strangers was a great way to kick off winter break. Now that I was finally eighteen and legal, having a boring weekend was not going to be an option.
It was a cold winter night and as usual, Hollywood was a mess. It seemed as if everyone was ready to get down and party that night. After accomplishing the great mission of arriving at my intended destination, I was relieved to get into the parking lot. (more…)

Stirring. Riveting. It is well-worth a full night of reading.

With its starkly minimal writing style, devoid of commas and quotation marks, Cormac McCarthy’s The Road follows a man and his son as they struggle for survival in a post-apocalyptic world. A majority of the dwindling population has turned to cannibalism in order to survive and the only thing keeping the man and his son alive is the distance their legs can take them and a pistol with three bullets. Cait Brady is the music lady

            The soulful sounds of the saxophone fill the room as senior Caity Brady practices some jazzy tunes.

Brady has been in jazz band for four years, marching band for three years, and choir for two years. She plays the baritone saxophone in the marching band and the tenor saxophone in the jazz band. Brady is currently the senior spokesperson who leads the band and is the emcee at concerts for jazz band. (more…)
