Big hopes await “My BIg Fat Armenian Family”

It is very rare for an Armenian to have their name appear in a film since Armenian characters, much less Armenian names, are not common among Steven Spielberg movies. But one did show up during the movie “My Big Fat Armenian Family,” which will be premiering at Glendale High School on July 12 and 18 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. (more…)

When it comes to acrylic paints and permanent markers, multi-purpose takes on a whole new meaning in the hands of these students.
The marker design trend seems to originate from the same basis: boredom.
Senior Brian Kim said that he first began customizing shoes and backpacks when he found that he had some spare time on his hands and little to occupy it with. (more…)

When pondering art, names like Picasso, Da Vinci and Van Gogh ring a bell in one’s mind. Before you know it, Aroutin Hartounian (’09) may be added to that same category.
Hartounian’s love for art began more than 11 years ago, drawing cavemen, dinosaurs, and soldiers. As a child, art was his way of expressing himself. He would sit down for hours at a time and just let his pencil do the talking. (more…)
