The Tornado Times was first printed in 1929, along with the opening of Herbert Hoover Senior High School; although initially the publication was named the “Purple Press”. Over the years many changes have occured here at Hoover, but our publication’s dedication to providing the highest quality product for our school’s population has never fallen short of superb. In 2007, we continue to strive to become the best high-school newspaper in America.
