            Collision.
            Darkness.
            The crowds drowning cheers are at a distance, and there is silence. 
            You lay motionless on the field with your eyes closed; the series of events that just unrolled are like a far away dream you can not seem to recollect.
            A sharp ringing noise begins to run through your ears as you slowly regain consciousness. With head spinning, you feel as though you are on a never-ending roller coaster.  As the dizziness fades away, there is a sudden impulse to vomit. Not being able to tolerate the excruciating pain any longer, you either dash to the sidelines or stay down until help arrives.
These are the symptoms of a mild concussion. (more…)
