Joesph Ainsworth pedals to the mettle

enior Joseph Ainsworth first learned how to ride a bike at the age of five, much like every other kid who learns how to ride a bicycle. But unlike the rest of us, Ainsworth developed a natural attraction to bikes. Now cycling is both a hobby and a sport to Ainsworth, riding his bike wherever he goes since he was 12 years old.
“I enjoy biking for the freedom [and] the exhilaration,” Ainsworth said. “Just knowing that I’m doing something to protect the environment a little comforts me.” (more…)

As summer is just around the corner, the Jazz Band is preparing to heat things up with Hooverstock 2007.
“[Hooverstock] is something we musicians do and highly enjoy,” guitar player Steve Aroutounians (’08) said. He also noted that it is a way to express yourself while having fun at the same time. (more…)

A complimentary Practice Scholastic Aptitude Test, field trips to universities and private colleges with admissions officers and university student panels, and free Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) preparatory classes were all made possible by the Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) grant which has been provided for the junior class for the past five years. Paris Hilton is going to jail! Well… maybe. Paris Hilton has appealed her 45-day jail sentence. The heiress, 26, who has been found in violation of her probation after she drove with a suspended license, made her feelings clear to photographers waiting outside her Los Angeles home on Saturday night. “I told the truth,” Hilton said, according to TMZ.“I feel that I was treated unfairly, and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted. I don’t deserve this.” Lawrence Taylor, a 30-year Driving Under the Influence attorney, said, “Her chances of winning an appeal are little to none. The prosecutors had a slam dunk case. The evidence was overwhelming that she repeatedly violated probation.” She deserves to go to jail where she will be someone’s lapdog… (more…)
