This year, Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker will once again have an untimely encounter along with Yoda, General Grievous, Wookies, and many more… all at the California Science Center near downtown Los Angeles.
Walking into the “Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination” exhibit, one does not notice anything out of the ordinary. In this exposition, costumes, models, and props used in making the “Star Wars” motion picture series are on display.
The props from the movie series draw attention instantly. There are the prosthetic hands of Anakin and Luke Skywalker, and different weapons used by the cast, including the blasters and the light sabers. The famous R2-D2 and C-3PO models can be spotted as well, while costumes like those of Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi are must-sees. (more…)

Wake up at 6:00 a.m., go to school by 7:30 a.m., attend football practice during sixth period, go to track practice until 4:30, swim until 6:00 p.m., get back home by 7:00 p.m., eat a quick dinner, start studying for four AP classes, and then, finally get some sleep.

If one has ever had a chance to meet Harold Tabora (’09), with his brown curly hair always in a hat, tight pants and sweater, he would never imagine that Tabora was the fastest sprinter and one of the fastest freshmen on last year’s track team. (more…)
